Study: Boys shorten mothers' lives

FINLAND (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Many mothers love when their son snuggles up to them, but it turns out that "momma's boy" may be shortening your life.
A new study out of Finland found that women who give birth to a number of sons live an average of eight-and-a-half months less than women who only have daughters.
However, the gender of the children had no impact on dad's life expectancy.
One theory is that women expecting boys have more testosterone which weakens the immune system.
Boys also grow faster in the womb and are usually heavier to carry, placing more strain on the body.
