(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new study shows that a loss for your team could mean a gain for you.
The journal Psychological Science took a look at what happens to fans the day after an NFL game.
Researchers found that supporters of the winning team tended to eat healthier foods, while the losing team fans tended to eat more saturated fats and sugars, on average about 16 percent more than they usually ate on Mondays.
Fans of the winning team ate about nine percent less saturated fat than normal. Researchers said the difference was especially defined if the game was close, or an upset, or in a city with a strong fan base.
