Study: Night owls have a harder time sticking to exercise routine story image
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There may be some truth to the stereotype of a morning person jumping out of bed, ready to hit the road running.

A study by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine discovered night owls have a harder time sticking to an exercise routine no matter what time they go to bed or wake up.

All participants slept at least six and a half hours and worked out on average of 83 minutes a week.

But those so called evening people spent more time sitting, especially on the weekends, with most claiming there wasn't enough time in the day to get it done.
