LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Tooth decay tops the list as the most common chronic childhood disease, according to the Delta Dental Foundation.

The Michigan Department of Community Health has awarded nine communities fluoridation equipment grants, trying to improve oral health across the state.

That includes the cities of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.

Those grants cover the cost of new or updated equipment.
