WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's been three weeks since the Affordable Health Care Act website launched, hoping to get millions of uninsured Americans coverage, but some issues are holding up those efforts.

More than 19-million people have visited the health care website since it launched on October first.

The problem is many of them haven't been able to sign up because of glitches on the site.

Monday, President Obama is hosting an event at the White House where he will feature those who have signed up, as well as address the issues.

At that event President Obama is expected to call problems with the government's Affordable Care Act website inexcusable.

An administration official says they are bringing in more help from tech experts inside and outside of the government.

They're writing new code to fix some of the glitches and will be expanding capacity to meet demand.

Both republicans and democrats agree something needs to be done to fix the issues so those who want to can sign up.

"The huge outpouring of interest shows how important it is that we get this right," said Treasury Secretary Jack Lew. "There's no one more frustrated than the president at the difficulty in the website."

"Send Air Force One out to Silicon Valley, load it up with some smart people, bring them back to Washington, and fix this problem. It's ridiculous," said Senator John McCain.

Later this week a House committee will hold a hearing to look into the costs of the Affordable Care Act rollout and who is to blame for the problems.
