FORT BRAGG, N.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's a story that has grabbed headlines across the country.
Now, in a Newschannel 3 exclusive, a case of military hazing involving a West Michigan soldier goes under the microscope.
We first broke the story of Sgt. Phillip Roach in August.
Sgt. Roach went into cardiac arrest after being hit in the chest with a mallet at Fort Bragg.
Just days after congressional hearings saw a parade of military leaders swear they have zero tolerance for hazing, a hazing incident sent Sgt. Roach to the hospital on April 4th.
Now, with the support of his family and commanders, he's decided to stay with his company, believing what he experienced is a problem in the Army, not of the Army.
Newschannel 3's Jared Werksma traveled to Fort Bragg to talk to Sgt. Roach about the incident in this Newschannel 3 exclusive.
