I-Team looks deeper at Judge Paul Hamre

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We are continuing to follow developments in an I-Team investigation that's exposed some serious questions about what's happening in the justice system in Van Buren County.
Over the last month we've reported on some surprising allegations against Circuit Court Judge Paul Hamre and two attorneys Gary Stewart and Kelly Page who practice law in Paw Paw.
All in all over the last month, there's been a call for Judge Hamre to be investigated, requests to disqualify nearly every attorney involved in this case because of wrong-doing and to top it all off some criminal charges filed against the plaintiffs as they fought the system.
Newschannel 3's Chief Investigative Reporter David Bailey reported today that a judge appointed to this case from Cass County, Michael Dodge, made two big decisions after all the judges in Van Buren County recused themselves from this case.
In his first decision, Judge Dodge decided not to disqualify any attorneys in this case because of alleged wrong-doing.
In the second decision, Dodge ruled on the civil case.
That ruling the plaintiffs say signals the new judge thinks something was awry behind the scenes in Paw Paw.
