Furniture for Veterans in Calhoun County
Updated: Tuesday, April 3 2012, 09:35 PM EDT
CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - First Wesleyan Church and the Department of Veterans Affairs have teamed up to help collect and distribute furniture donations for housing found for homeless veterans.
Volunteers delivered furniture to the VA Hospital this morning.
The program started around 6 months ago, but has picked up steam recently.
The pastor at First Wesleyan says every day he has new donations coming in, and the VA says this program recognizes that just finding a homeless vet somewhere to live isn't enough.
Information on donation is available on the Links section of our website.
