KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It may finally feel like summer outside, but retailers are already preparing for winter.

Now, one local thrift store is putting a positive spin on the seasonal changeover of merchandise.

Second Impressions thrift store in Kalamazoo is giving away its entire stock of clothing to anyone in need.

Each person can get up to 5 articles of clothing.

Last year, more than 400 people benefitted from the giveaway with 3,300 items handed out.

This year, the store is hoping to double that number, and double the amount of help to the community.

"Two years ago, we thought it would be nice instead of giving clothing to other organizations out of state that we could help the people in our community," said General Manager Ed Muller.

The giveaway is on Saturday at the store on South Westnedge Avenue, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
