DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

CALIFORNIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two wildfires burning several acres about eight-miles apart in northeast California are the focus of state and federal firefighters.

The two are just part of 14 other wildfires burning in the state.

They started within a day of each other in the Lassen National Forest and have expanded into private property, scorching at nearly 58,000 acres.

One of the blazes has destroyed eight homes and forced the evacuation of a small nursing home.

Three small neighboring communities in Shasta County were also asked to leave Saturday night.
