Car damaged when elephant needed to scratch story image

SOUTH AFRICA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's an out of the ordinary car crash that would leave many scratching their heads as to how to report it to their insurance.

An elephant decided to scratch an itch using a small car in a national park in South Africa.

The two terrified occupants in the Volkswagon Polo were frightened, but uninjured. The same could not be said for the car.

They ended up hitching a ride out of there from a field guide who also took the photo.
