CALIFORNIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The State of California is moving to get the water flowing in the wake of one of the worst droughts ever recorded.

Governor Jerry Brown has signed a $7.5 billion bipartisan water plan, acting swiftly after it was passed by both houses of the legislature to place it on California's November ballot.

The money includes funding for California's first new state-funded dams and reservoirs in more than 30 years.

Brown said he probably had never seen democrats and republicans so united in his lifetime.
