Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for our Indiana bordering counties of Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch.  It doesn't mean it won't be foggy there!  The combination of yesterday evening's rainfall, light winds while you were sleeping, and our unusually cool airmass is a near perfect recipe for visibilities under a mile and perhaps as low as 1/4 mile.  This is enough to change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning, and slow it down if you can.  Stay with for your weather!

Updated: Tuesday, August 19, 2014

CHINA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Chinese state media say rescuers are trying to reach 29 miners trapped in a coal mine after a gas explosion.

Ten other miners managed to escape, one was injured.

The blast happened Tuesday at a private mine in the country's east.

The government had ordered the mine shut down twice in June, but it had continued operating.
