NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Leaders in New York City are once again pushing healthier food choices--this time by trying to lessen the appeal of fast food to kids.

A New York City Councilmember is bringing back a failed initiative from 2011, attempting to ban pairing toys with fatty foods at fast food joints.

The idea is to remove incentives for people to buy those types of foods.

A similar proposal recently failed in San Francisco.
