Patient in isolation after possible exposure to Ebola virus story image

SACRAMENTO, California (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A patient at a south Sacramento hospital is being tested after possibly being exposed to the Ebola virus.

Hospital officials are not saying much at this time but did say they have sent blood samples to the Centers for Disease Control.

The patient is now in isolation just like the two American patients in Atlanta who are being treated with confirmed cases of the Ebola virus.

County health experts say it could take days to find out the results on this latest possible case in California.
