ATLANTA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The second of two American aid workers who contracted Ebola in West Africa is on her way back to the United States.

Nancy Writebol is expected in Atlanta Tuesday afternoon.

She will be treated at a special isolation unit at Emory University Hospital, the same unit her colleague Dr. Kent Brantly was taken to this weekend.

Both aid workers contracted the virus in Liberia and both have been given an experimental drug that's never been tested for safety in humans.

But doctors say both are also showing signs of improving.
