WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Ukranian crisis is escalating.

New video shows what the Ukranian government says is a Russian tank moving into an eastern city.

U.S. officials say up to 1,000 Russian troops have moved into southern Ukraine with heavy weapons.

President Obama spoke late Thursday afternoon about why Russia is to blame for the violence.

"The violence is encouraged by Russia, the separatists are trained by Russia, they are armed by Russia, they are funded by Russia," the President said.

President Obama also said this is the most isolated Russia has been since the end of the cold war.

Top Ukranian army officers are calling this a full-scale invasion.
