IN THE NEWS: RESTAURANT FLAP LEADS TO INTERNET MELTDOWN
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- It isn't exactly to curry favor with your restaurant customers -- even if your specialty isn't curry. A restaurant owner in Arizona has gone all caps on people who have been ripping Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona. In the Facebook rant, the owner said: "I AM NOT STUPID ALL OF YOU ARE" and "YOU JUST DO NOT KNOW GOOD FOOD." It isn't the restaurant's first public relations disaster. During an appearance earlier this month on the Fox reality TV show "Kitchen Nightmares" celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay tries to turn the eatery around. But even he bailed on the effort after the owners refused to listen to his advice.
IN THE NEWS: ADDED TWITTER SECURITY
NEW YORK (AP) -- Twitter is stepping up its security game. It has added an extra layer of security to help prevent people from logging on as other people and posting under their name or company banner. In a blog post this week, Twitter says users will be able to enroll in a login verification program. Those who sign up will get a six-digit code using a text message each time they sign in to Twitter.com. Besides their username and password, users will have to enter the code to log in as well. Microsoft, Google and Facebook already use a two-step verification as an option for its users. Twitter has been criticized for not having it until now, especially following recent breaches of Twitter accounts belonging to major news organizations and other companies.
