(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is looking for your help to get rid of invasive plants from state parks.

The DNR is hosting several volunteer stewardship workdays throughout the month where you can help out.

Saturday there will be an event at the Fort Custer Recreation Area in Augusta from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Volunteers can help out with restoring habitats by removing exotic plants that are threatening the current habitat.
