The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issued a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties until 10 AM.  Much like the last several mornings, fog is apparent and spreading.  Reports of little to no visibility have already been confirmed near and south of I-94.  Remember, visibilities can change rapidly.  Allow yourself some extra time to get where you're going, and extra stopping distance can help.

HOMER, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Five teenagers could be facing charges after Deputies say they stole a car and crashed it into a garage.

It happened early Friday morning around 1am. Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputies were sent to a crash in the 300 block of Terrace Drive in Homer.

Deputies arrived in the area and found that a van had struck a garage, creating significant structural damage to the garage and to the vehicle.

No one was in the home at the time of the crash.

While canvassing the neighborhood witnesses told deputies 5 people, 3 men and two women fled on foot.

Deputies caught up to the 3 of the suspects quickly.

As Deputies continued the search for the 2 males, it was discovered that the vehicle that had struck the house had been stolen from a residence on S. Byron St. sometime late Thursday night.

A Calhoun County K9 unit was called in and the 2 remaining male suspects were ultimately located at a residence on S. Byron Street not far from where the vehicle had reportedly been taken.

The 2 female and 2 of the male suspects are juveniles, ranging in ages between 14-16 years old and 1 male suspect is 17.

The 2 female suspects are from the Homer area and the 3 males are from Jackson County.

The 2 male juveniles had warrants for their arrest out of Jackson County and were taken into custody and turned over to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

One of the juvenile females was treated for a minor injury.

There were no other injuries reported.

The 2 juvenile females and the 17 year old male were released pending further investigation.
