BANGOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A West Michigan center that assists the mentally ill is receiving a $35,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Community Health.

Beacon Services, in Bangor, will use the money to support its new wellness program.

The program focuses on improving four main aspects of each resident's life: physical, mental, spiritual, and social health.

Beacon Services says the program started in June, and they are already seeing positive results.
