Bipartisan deal looks to start fixing the Department of Veterans Affairs story image

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Lawmakers have reached a bipartisan deal to start fixing the embattled Department of Veterans Affairs.

The agreement comes three months after revelations that some veterans may have died while waiting for care and thousands more were on secret waiting lists. Whistle-blowers also said they were punished for trying to sound the alarm.
