The National Weather Service maintains a FROST ADVISORY for Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, and Montcalm counties until 8 AM.  As of this writing, early morning temperatures are already in the upper 30s and will likely fall a few more degrees before sunrise.  That would be plenty cold to foster the development of frost.  Hopefully you had a chance to protect your flowers, plants, and any young crops.

Updated: Monday, September 1, 2014

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Put your sneakers on for a good cause.

Sunday, September 14, is a fundraiser to raise awareness about ovarian cancer.

It's called the Shake Your Teal Feather Fun-Run Walk, and it will be held at the John Ball Zoo Park in Grand Rapids at 2:00 p.m.

Teal is the color that represents ovarian cancer awareness.

The disease is known as a silent killer, because many are not diagnosed until the late stages.
