Grand Rapids receives grant for after school programming

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Grand Rapids Public Schools have received a grant to provide after school programming.

The Michigan Department of Education has given GRPS $12.1 million dollars for LOOP programming. That provides academic support and enrichment activities for students in first through 12th grade.

The grant will support activities at a number of schools for the next five years.
