GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The inaugural LPGA Tournament in Grand Rapids was a big success, raising $600,000 for the Meijer 'Simply Give' program.

The donation announcement came Wednesday.

Those funds were raised through various community events surrounding the tournament, like a community concert, 5K run and celebrity cookoff.

The $600,000 will be divided among Meijer's estimated 200 food pantry partners participating in the fall 'Simply Give' campaign.

The campaign runs through September 27.
