Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for our Indiana bordering counties of Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch.  It doesn't mean it won't be foggy there!  The combination of yesterday evening's rainfall, light winds while you were sleeping, and our unusually cool airmass is a near perfect recipe for visibilities under a mile and perhaps as low as 1/4 mile.  This is enough to change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning, and slow it down if you can.  Stay with for your weather!

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The residents of a local senior living community are getting a new sense of independence, thanks to a brand new computer lab.

They had a special ribbon cutting ceremony Friday at the Washington Square co-op in Kalamazoo.

The center recieved five new computers, all paid for by the TDF Foundation, out of Washington, D.C.

Congressman Fred Upton was at the ceremony.

Representatives for the senior living community say the new computers will help residents become more social with the outside world.

"They're very excited to contact family and friends, excited about simple things like being able to get on the social security website and to do some of the things for themselves that they've been dependent on other people," said CSI Support and Development Coordinator John Rodgers. "So there's a sense of independence people are gaining from what we've seen already."

The center will be holding classes to teach residents how to use social media and tools like Microsoft Word.
