The National Weather Service maintains FROST ADVISORIES until 9 AM in Oceana, Newaygo, and Mecosta counties.  Early morning temperatures are already in the 30s and will fall through the 6 AM hour.  Remember, the temperature doesn't have to be at the freezing mark for frost to form.  Hopefully, you had the chance to protect your plants and flowers by covering them or bringing them inside.

Police: Car flips after blowing tire on Westnedge in Kzoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) –A car flips over on Westnedge Ave. in Kalamazoo. Police say it was all due to a blown tire.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Kalamazoo Public Safety officers tell Newschannel 3 that a car was driving on Westnedge when, officers think, it blew a tire. The driver lost control and the car hit a tree and flipped over, landing on its roof.

Police say the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for observation. They say a young adult male was also in the car, but he was uninjured.

Westnedge was closed between Crosstown Parkway and Pioneer Street for about an hour as officers cleared the scene.
