Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for our Indiana bordering counties of Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch.  It doesn't mean it won't be foggy there!  The combination of yesterday evening's rainfall, light winds while you were sleeping, and our unusually cool airmass is a near perfect recipe for visibilities under a mile and perhaps as low as 1/4 mile.  This is enough to change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning, and slow it down if you can.  Stay with for your weather!

Updated: Monday, August 4, 2014

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Quick action from Battle Creek firefighters put out a small fire at the Kellogg plant on Monday.

The fire broke out just before 6:00 a.m.

Fire investigators say it was confined to the oven and some duct work in the building.

Luckily, the building was not damaged, but some of the equipment was.

Crews are working to clean up the minimal damage, so they can continue operating in that area.
