Testimony continues in Donna Frost murder case story image

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Wednesday, Newschannel 3 heard the recording from a man accused of killing his girlfriend confessing to the crime.

47-year-old Jackie McConnell is charged with second degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Donna Frost.

The confession happened during a 5-hour interrogation of McConnell.

His confession didn't happen until 2 1/2 hours in.

In it, you see an Albion detective confronting McConnell with evidence contradicting where he said he was and what he did in the days after Frost was last seen alive.

McConnell was being interviewed at a police station in North Carolina where he claims he went on vacation.

The video shows detectives pleading with McConnell to give closure to the family.

McConnell then told the detective where Frost's body was, adding, "I hit her too hard with my fist," and that "she didn't deserve it."

The detective in the video testified in court on Wednesday, and added that McConnell also taped an apology to Frost's family when he made it to Calhoun County Court.

A forensic pathologist also took the stand and described in graphic detail the condition of Frost's body.

She said Frost's cause of death was blunt injury to the head.

The defense is expected to take over Thursday, when McConnell may take the witness stand himself.
