UPDATED: Body found in Wyoming creek Updated: Sunday, August 24, 2014 WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police are investigating after a man's body is found in a Wyoming creek. Grand Rapids police tell Newschannel 3 that people who were walking on a nature trail at Plaster Creek Family Park found the body around noon on Saturday. They say the body was badly decomposed. At first, officers were not able to establish whether the body is male or female. Grand Rapids officers determined that the body was found on the Wyoming side of the creek and turned the case over to the Wyoming Police Department. Wyoming officers and firefighters removed the body from the creek. They tell Newschannel 3 the body was that of a 64-year-old white male. Police are still investigating, but do not consider the death to be suspicious.
