I-Team: Audit reveals potential problems in Kzoo Sheriff
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An audit by Kalamazoo County leaders, and obtained by Newschannel 3 shows some potential problems in the Sheriff's Office--specifically how employees account for their time at work.

Some county commissioners say it's hard for them to believe that a large governmental employer these days doesn't have employees sign off on a time sheet.

But an audit shows that's what's been happening for hourly and part-time workers at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office for decades.

After several county leaders and the I-Team started asking questions about the practice, it appears the questions are prompting change in the department.

Newschannel 3's David Bailey has more on the investigation.
