KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Newschannel 3 I-Team has been looking into reports that some of our viewers should have been getting money back from your local governments.

We uncovered leaders in more than a dozen local communities who--it appears--botched an opportunity to get money for their taxpayers.

Across West Michigan, 20 local governments could have given money back to every man, woman, and child, but lost state revenue sharing dollars to the tune of $90,000.

Newschannel 3 Chief Investigative Reporter David Bailey went on Waste Watch, and joined us to explain why some should have gotten a refund check.
