Remember that movie Point Break? This guy did it in real life
Comments 0 | Recommend 0CHICAGO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There is new information in one of the biggest bank heists in state history.
An 87-year-old Chicago man has fessed up to the 1991 hold up.
Carmine Jannece says he and three other men put on masks of ex-presidents and robbed the Citizens Trust Savings Bank in Saugatuck 17 years ago.
They pulled off the heist just two months after the movie Point Break came out, which featured a similar scenario.
The men got away with nearly $360,000.
Jannece will be sentenced in July.
