SOUTH HAVEN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) -National Guard troops from Grand Ledge will fly to South Haven Wednesday to prepare for a disaster in our own backyard.

They'll work with a medevac chopper and practice crash rescues for emergency training. Then they'll hit the classroom to break down procedures.

All of this is leading up to a mass-casualty simulation in late-summer when the troops will join a number of local agencies to work on how to respond after a tornado hits.
