KALAMAZOO COUNTY (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Watch out for construction headaches Tuesday.

Avoid the area around Westnedge and I-94 if you can.

Crews just kicked off the Westnedge widening project Monday morning and by noon it had traffic backed up for miles on I-94.

Construction won't wrap up until September.

It will be stop-and-go for drivers all around Kalamazoo County well into the summer.

This week crews are working on the I-94/US-131 interchange. Ramps from 131 onto westbound I-94 are closed right now.

On Saturday the ramps to eastbound I-94 will also be shut down.
