Man dies after motorcycle accident
SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man has died from his injuries after he was struck on his motorcycle by another vehicle in Sheridan Township.
The crash happened just after 8:00 p.m. last Monday. Greg Rasmussen was on his motorcycle traveling northbound on Maple Island Road just south of 48th St. when he was hit. Twenty-nine-year-old Rasmussen was transported by Aero-Med to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids were he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash. The name of the driver is being withheld pending further investigation.
Rasmussen was employed by the Muskegon County Health Department.
A statement from the Health Department says: "Greg was greatly respected and admired by his peers here at the Health Department. His enthusiasm for public health and education was, and will continue to be, an inspiration. His uplifting spirit, playful sense of humor and outgoing personality will be significantly missed."
