Small Fire at a Kent County Hotel

CASCADE TWP (NEWSCHANNEL 3) -  Fire Crews from three different departments responded to a fire on the third floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel on 28th Street near the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.  The fire broke out just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday night.   Firefighters found the fire in an unoccupied room and had it under control within just a few minutes.

   Police did evacuate the hotel for a short time as a precaution.  Nobody was hurt in the fire.  Authorities believe the fire may have began inside an air conditioning unit inside that room.
