Grand Rapids Hotel Controversy

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

GRAND RAPIDS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The soon-to-open Marriott Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids received national attention, after plans were announced the hotel would offer a floor for "women-only".

Now, hotel owners are looking into scrapping the plan because of complaints about gender discrimination. The plan originally called for all rooms on the 19th floor of the hotel to be for female guests only.

The hotel is scheduled to open in September.
