Meth bust in Kalamazoo
KALAMAZOO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Officers with hazmat equipment raided a Kalamazoo apartment complex Tuesday night, drawing a lot of questions from neighbors.
It happened at the Denway Circle Apartments at around seven o'clock.
The raid came after officers pulled a vehicle over for excessive noise on Denway Drive. Small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana were found in the vehicle.
The police went to the suspect's home where they seized a small amount of marijuana from a female and methamphetamine was seized from the male.
Police say the original suspect returned home and was very uncooperative with officers. The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team was called in to assist and a search warrant was obtained for the apartment.
Numerous meth making components were found in the home. All three people were arrested.
