Fatal crash on M-96

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man from Galesburg has been killed in a rollover crash.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department says that a westbound minivan traveling on M-96 near River Road lost control and struck a guardrail, rolling multiple times early Tuesday morning.

The 38-year-old Comstock Township man who was driving was taken to Borgess Medical Center in critical condition. A 40-year-old man from Galesburg who was in the front passenger seat was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
