Teens in kayaks steal beer from tiki bar

CEDAR LAKE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Sheriff in Van Buren County says that a man with a home on Cedar Lake in Porter Township was the victim of two teens who paddled across the lake to steal beer.

The man said the teens broke into his tiki bar near the beach and took several cases of beer and a case of Red Bull. Police found a trail of floating cans in the lake that lead them to the suspects' residence.

Two young males were arrested for the larceny and a separate young man was arrested for possession of marijuana. Several others, ranging in age from 15 to 18, were arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.

A total of seven teens were arrested in the incident.
