Lawmaker drumming up support for Boeing bid
LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Michigan lawmaker is trying to drum up support for a project that he says could both create and maintain thousands of jobs in the state.
Speaker pro tem Mike Sak wants more lawmakers to jump on board the Boeing company's bid for a new tanker program. He'll make a plea Thursday morning in Lansing.
Right now over 250 companies in Michigan supply parts for Boeing.
That includes Parker Aerospace in Kalamazoo which is building Boeing's Dreamliner.
