Republican National Convention
Comments 0 | Recommend 0(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Thursday is the grand finale of the Republican National Convention and a big night for Senator John McCain. McCain will address the crowd Thursday, formally accepting his party's nomination for president.
McCain's speech is expected to have more of a town-hall atmosphere thanks to a redesign of the stage that will bring delegates closer to the action. McCain is scheduled to speak at 10 and his campaign says that he will lay out his plan for America.
Before Senator McCain takes the stage, several key Republicans will get their time at the podium. Some of the speakers include Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, and potential First Lady Cindy McCain.
