Jobs coming to West Michigan
WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There is some good news for three counties in West Michigan Wednesday morning.
Hundreds of new jobs could be headed to the area.
Priceline.com is considering setting up a call center in Wyoming. This would put about 400 people to work.
There is still some negotiating to do, though. Michigan is competing with Columbus, Georgia to try and reel in the discount travel company.
In Calhoun County a company that makes braking systems for the auto industry is expanding its facility in Homer.
Right now about 100 people work at Brembo North America.
Construction on the expansion is expected to start right away.
A new $15 million project is expected to create about 36 new jobs in Muskegon.
The plan is to build 113,000 square feet of commercial space on Henry Street.
The project also includes some eco-friendly features.
