Snow By Tomorrow Morning
Good morning! Today is the last day the relatively balmy middle and upper 40s will be with us. It's a shame we won't have the sun of yesterday ... Quite the opposite today, clouds are already streaming in and will thicken and lower throughout the day. Our extreme southern counties may encounter some showers before the evening drive; much of West Michigan will go through the day dry.
Showers spread across the area this evening as colder air begins to pour in at the same time. This convenient convergence of events means rain mixing with and turning over to some snow from just before midnight northwest to a little bit after southeast. Temperatures are very crucial and will be close to freezing. It's in the areas where snowfall will be intense for a brief time that stand the best chance at accumulation. Right now, we're thinking a slushy 1/2" to 1" is possible by the time you wake up tomorrow.
During tomorrow, lake effect snow showers and flurries will start to take over, especially late and into the evening. It's from this time through Friday night and early Saturday where several inches of snow will accumulate. While it's a bit early to speculate on amounts at this time, we know it will be plowable.
Keep it right here for the latest information on snowfall amounts during the next few days! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
