Cross Your Fingers for Fireworks Tonight
Comments 0 | Recommend 0An area of low pressure moving from the Plains to the Ohio Valley today will be skirting West Michigan with some clouds and perhaps a shower or two. It looks like the low will be moving away this evening, pulling clouds away from the area just in time for fireworks displays. Cross your fingers.
Earlier in the week, forecast models projected the low to travel far enough to our south that we would have missed out on any of the clouds and showers. However, by late Thursday, the models began to shift the track of the low closer to our area, bringing the northern edge of clouds and precipitation our way. If the actual movement of the storm is indeed farther south, we'll see a bit more sunshine. If it is farther north, we may see a few showers.
Either way, Sunday looks great as the weather system moves far away from us. Expect abundant sunshine and warmer temps Sunday. Looking ahead to next week, it looks like we'll enjoy abundant sunshine and finally return to summertime temps. Remember that for the latest weather updates, stay with Newschannel 3 and wwmt.com
