Son Could Be Charged For Mom's Death
Comments 0 | Recommend 0MUSKEGON (Newschannel 3) - A man could be charged for murder after his mother died Thursday.
The Muskegon County Prosecutor,Tony Tague, says the 76-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by her son in May.
Police say the incident happened the morning of May 5th on the 1000 block of Spring Street. Gwendolyn Cummings was found in a pool of her own blood on her front porch.
She was taken to the hospital with facial injuries and placed in the intensive care unit.
Gwendolyn's son, Clark Alan Cummings, 45, was placed under arrest the day of the assault. He was later arraigned on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Now the Muskegon County Prosecutors Office expects to charge him with murder.
