ANGOLA, Ind. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Students attending Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana this fall will now go to a different school, at least in name.

The university says the name is somewhat confusing. It refers to its location near the Indiana, Michigan and Ohio borders.

This Friday they'll rename it Trine University in honor of the school's largest donor.

About 1,500 people have already signed an online petition opposing the name change.
