GRAND RAPIDS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Local leaders want the government to make a u-turn on new drivers license requirements.

The Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce says denying non-citizens id's actually hurts Michigan's economy.

Chamber members say the changes prevent businesses from attracting highly-skilled professionals from around the world, something our region depends on to get by.

The group meets Wednesday and will call on lawmakers to scale back the new regulations.
