Man dies after car splits in half

ADA TWP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man is dead after a drunk driving accident in Kent County.
Police said the driver, a 26-year-old man, lost control of his car on Honey Creek just south of 2 mile road. The SUV hit a tree and split in half.
The passenger, a 23-year-old man from Grand Rapids died at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
